Medical Detox Treatment in Tampa Bay, Florida (Coming soon)
Taking the first step to overcome your addiction starts with detox. This is the phase where you cleanse your body of drugs, which is essential before moving on to further healing. Detoxification is a natural process; once you stop using drugs, they typically leave your system in a few days. As long as you refrain from using any drugs during this time, your body will be cleared.
What is Medical Detoxt?
You need a drug detox program to get you through this critical step of your recovery. Withdrawal symptoms range from uncomfortable to life-threatening depending on your situation. A lot of it has to do with your substance of choice, but your physical and mental health play a big part, too.
Using medical intervention to manage withdrawal symptoms can make you more comfortable during the detox process. In addition, using life-saving medical intervention, if necessary, can provide the most comfortable detox experience when going through withdrawal symptoms, please reach out to one of our admissions navigators at (727)498-6498
A combination of medically supported treatments and various types of therapy make up the approach most likely to result in the outcome and long-term maintenance of recovery.
The components of these treatments as used in a residential and medical setting are outlined below to help individuals who are seeking help with their addictions, or their loved ones, to find the residential treatment program most likely to support them in their journey.
What Should I Expect at Transformations by the Gulf Residential Treatment Program?
The success of a person’s recovery depends on the level of personalized treatment provided. It is important to find an addiction treatment program that works. When we say our treatment is individualized, we mean that we craft a program tailored to address the client’s unique physical, mental, and emotional needs. Residential Inpatient Treatment can help you.
In the client’s first 24 hours with us, we’ll evaluate their current state and work to understand what challenges they need to overcome. They’ll also have an initial session with our doctor and meet with one of our licensed mental health professionals.
After the initial evaluations, we’ll design a treatment plan with the sole mission of helping the client overcome and heal from addiction. Their program will focus on things such as:
- Addressing and identifying root causes of addiction.
- Creating a support system.
- Developing healthy stress management techniques.
- Eliminating substance use.
- Learning how to communicate emotions effectively.
- Maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
- Repairing damaged relationships.
Who Benefits From Residential Addiction Treatment?
How Does a Medical Detox Work?
- Your condition is evaluated, and you are tested to see what drugs are in your system. This can help caregivers anticipate your needs throughout the detox process.
- Your condition will start to change as time goes by. You will be administered medical intervention as needed to keep your vital signs within normal range and also to ease the pain of any symptoms you may experience. While all symptoms of every type of drug withdrawal may not be treatable, you’ll be kept as comfortable as possible.
- You will prepare to transition to the rehab program. You may begin to experience cravings at the end of your detox. We will work with you at this stage to reduce cravings and identify any underlying mental health issues that need to be addressed in rehab along with the addiction.
Dealing with your problems during rehab can be tough. However, you will have a significant advantage if your detox process is smooth, and you don’t start your rehab journey feeling broken or ashamed.
