Why Gender-Specific Addiction Rehab?

Florida Drug Rehab for Men and Women, Gender-Specifically:

Why Gender-Specific Addiction Rehabilitation?

The National Institute on Drug Abuse and Addiction (NIDA) states that men and women with substance abuse addiction problems require different treatment and prevention approaches. Transformations By The Gulf provides gender-specific treatment program options because we agree that in an all-women’s or all-men’s setting, we find our clients to have greater success and fewer distractions than they would in a setting which is only co-ed.

Women (including expectant mothers) and men have very unique social, biological, psychological, and familial needs that can be better addressed in gender specific settings. Additionally, people are often more open to talking about difficult personal issues in an all-female or all-male setting rather than sharing in a co-ed group. Our goal is to ensure the people within our program feel secure, comfortable and safe talking about issues of addiction, self-esteem, family situations, sexuality and anger issues while building bonds of support and accountability alongside others in this type of treatment. We provide a safe and friendly atmosphere- a harbor where our staff possess a positive, hopeful attitude toward everyone and invest in learning about each person’s individual experiences and treatment needs while developing appropriate interventions.

We offer 30, 60 and 90 day treatment programs where together, we can build a strong foundation which will help people overcome the urge to relapse when they leave guided treatment. We offer Residential-Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs.
